Section 9(1) in The Bengal Money-Lenders Act, 1940
(1)A licence shall be valid throughout the whole of [West Bengal] [Words substituted for the word 'Bengal' by the Indian Independence (Adaptation of Bengal and Punjab Acts) Order, 1948.] for a period of three years from the date of its issue or until it is cancelled.
