Section 2(19) in The Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli Act, 2006
(19)"teachers" mean such [Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors] [Substituted for 'Lecturers, Readers, Assistant Profefsors' by Act No. 25 of 2010, dated 11.6.2010.], Directors and other persons giving instruction in University departments, colleges or laboratories, in affiliated or approved colleges or in hostels and librarians and other like persons as may be declared by the statute to be teachers;
