Section 1 in The Karnataka Prohibition Of Beggary Act, 1975
1. Short title, extent and commencement.-
(1)This Act may be called the Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Karnataka.(3)It shall come into force in such areas of the State on such dates as the State Government may, by notification appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas:Provided that the provisions of this Act shall not be brought into force in any area unless the State Government is satisfied that suitable facilities exist for the relief of the beggars of that area.
