(2)A licence-holder shall pay at the prevailing rates in the forests concerned for all timber felled or used by him for the construction of a stockade and if the timber required for the purposes is to be taken from the protected or reserved forests and reserved lands of the district, the previous sanction of the District Officer or the District Forest Officer, as the case may be, shall be obtained.
