Section 16(5) in The Jharkhand State Agricultural University Act, 2000
(5)Each post-graduate department of a University shall have a Chairman and each college department shall have a Head whose appointment, powers and duties shall be as prescribed by the Statutes and who shall be responsible to the Dean or the Principal of the College as the case may be for the proper organisation and working of the department and shall be responsible to the Directors of Research and Extension Education respectively, for the co-ordination of Research and Extension Education work entrusted to his department.
