482. Limitations for recovery of dues.
- No distraint shall be made, no suit shall be instituted and no prosecution shall be commenced in respect of any sum due to the corporation under this Act after the expiration of a period of [twelve years] [Substituted for the words 'six years' by Tamil Nadu Act 36' of 2008. dated 29.5.2008, w.e.f. 25.6.2008.] from the last day of the period in respect of which such sum is claimed, or in case the same is not claimed in respect of any specific period, from the last day of the year in which the claim arose.
