Section 1 in The West Bengal Metropolitan Planning Committee Act, 1994
1. Short title, extent and commencement. -
The Act may be called the West Bengal Metropolitan Planning Committee Act, 1994.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal, except the areas to which the provisions of the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council Act, 1988, apply.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
