(2)Subject to the provisions hereinafter contained with respect to [suspension] [Substituted by G.N. of 30th Sept., 1965] [and revocation] [Inserted by G.N. of 13th October 1981] and unless earlier renewed under rule 8 every such licence shall remain in force until the 31st day of December next following and shall then expire.
