Section 11(1) in West Bengal Escheats and Forfeitures Act, 2012
(1)The Collector shall publish, in the prescribed manner, a general notice in any two newspapers having wide circulation in the area where such property is found or located; one being published in English and the other in the regional language, or in the Official Gazette inviting claimants to prefer claims to the unclaimed property sent to him by the police under section 10 within three months from the date of publication of the notice.
