1. Mr Sawant is instructed in Court today by Mr Deepak A Pawar, Assistant Conservator of Forest, Pune. He has brought with him the Golden Register which has details of actions taken under Section 35 of the Indian Forests Act 1927. Mr Sawant says that the Petitioners' Advocate will be given inspection in the course of the week. He seeks time to take complete instructions in regard to the lands in question.Page 1 of 2

2. For clarity, we note that the controversy is in respect of the two lands, Survey No. 386/2 and Survey No. 386/3 of village Thoptewadi (these survey numbers are all originally of Gerasinhgard, shown in the table at page 16 against Sr. No. 2, village Thopatewadi). All the other lands are ones that are mentioned in the Golden Register and are also mentioned in 35(1) Notification dated 26th April 1965 published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette of 17th June 1965 (from page 142).
3. Mr Godbole has further submissions to make on law even in respect of the lands that are mentioned in the Golden Register and also included in the Section 35(1) Notification. We will consider those legal submissions on the next date.
4. List the matter on 22nd August 2022.
