(1)Subject to the provisions of Article 311 of the Constitution and the Rules and Regulations made under this Act, an officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police or above may award any of the following punishment to a police officer of a rank for which he is the appointing authority:(a)reduction in rank;(b)compulsory retirement;(c)removal from service; or(d)dismissal
