Section 61(1)(a) in The Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949

(a)without the written permission of the Commissioner or any officer authorised by him in this behalf, resign his office, withdraw or absent himself from the duties thereof without at least t#o months' notice given in writing to the Commissioner, except in the case of illness or accident disabling him for the discharge of his duties, or other reason accepted as sufficient by the Commissioner or such office, or
