Section 1 in Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994

(1)These rules may be called the Chandigarh Panchayat Election Rules, 1994.(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.(3)They shall apply to the Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads constituted under the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 as extended to the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
