Section 80(3)(a) in The Dock Workers (Safety, Health And Welfare) Regulations, 1990
(a)the area on which the leakage of tetraethyl lead compound has occurred (including the outside of a drum) shall be treated as follows:-(i)flush with kerosene or some other light oil solvent followed by water. If the surface permits, wash thoroughly with soap working up as much lather as possible, and again flush with water;(ii)if it is possible to obtain quickly a supply of common bleaching lime (CaOCl2) the area should first be treated generously with a mixture of bleaching lime and water in the form of thin slurry (NEVER use the dry powder) alternatively a five per cent solution of sulphuryl chloride (SO2Cl2) in kerosene may be used;
