Section 40(5) in The Tamil Nadu Building and Construction Workers (Conditions of Employment and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1984
(5)The provisions of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (Central Act 37 of 1970) as in force for the time being, shall apply to, or in relation to, building and construction workers, as they apply to, or in relation to 'workmen' within the meaning of that Act.
