(2)It shall be the duty of the Deputy Superintendent strictly to enforce, or cause to be so enforced, all laws, rules, regulations, directions and orders, respectively, relating to the management of jails and prisoners, and applicable to the jail or to any prisoner confined therein, for the time being in force.
