...for the Sate in W.P.L.R.T. No. 127 of 2013.

As prayed for by the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and as similar questions
of law and fact are involved in these matters, we propose to hear all these matters together.

In substance, in all these matters, the grievances of the writ petitioners are that in spite of orders
passed by the Bhag Chas Officer evicting bargadars concerned and directing restoration of the lands in
favour of the landowners, those orders have not, yet, been executed.
                                                     2

Under Section 20(2) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, the prescribed authority is to be
appointed by the State Government for execution of such orders.

The learned advocates appearing for the parties could not produce any paper to show who is the
prescribed authority appointed by the State Government for execution of these orders.

The learned advocates appearing for the State-respondents and for the learned Advocate General,

pray for some time to obtain instructions as to who is the prescribed authority under Section 20(2) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

As prayed for, put up these matters on July 11, 2013 to enable the learned advocates appearing for the State-respondents as also the learned advocates appearing for the learned Advocate General to obtain instructions in this regard.
