25. Prohibition to accept Gifts and Dowry.
(1)No officer or employee shall solicit or accept or permit any member of his family or any other person acting on his behalf to accept any gift from a constituent of the Bank or from any officer or employee, subordinate to him.(2)No officer or employee shall, -(a)give or take or abet the giving or taking of dowry, or(b)demand directly or indirectly from the parents or guardian of a bride or bridegroom, as the case may be, any dowry.Explanation: For the purposes of this regulation, dowry has the same meaning as assigned in the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (28 of 1961).
