1. This writ petition has been filed against the refusal order dated 27.09.2017 passed by the Northern Regional Committee rejecting the petitioner-society's application for grant of recognition to its D.EL.ED./BSTC training course. Admittedly, the said order of refusal is appealable under Section 18 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (hereinafter 'the Act of 1993').

2. In these circumstances, I am not inclined to exercise the extraordinary equitable jurisdiction of this court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India against the order of refusal impugned and would remit the petitioner to the remedy of the statutory appeal provides under Section 18 of the Act of 1993.

3. In the event of the appeal being filed by the petitioner, the Appellate Authority is directed to dispose of the said appeal within a period of two months.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of.
