256. Investigating officer to consult connected registers before proceeding to investigate. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].
- When an offence is reported, the investigating officer shall consult all registers which are likely to assist him in his investigation, particularly the Village Crime Note-Book, before proceeding to investigate.
