9. Leave of absence for the Chairman and appointment of an acting Chairman.
(1)The Government, may, from time to time, grant to the Chairman such leave as may be admissible under the rules.(2)Whenever there is a temporary vacancy in the office of the Chairman, the Government may appoint a person to act as Chairman during the period of such vacancy and shall pay to such person such remuneration and allowances as may be fixed by them. The person so appointed shall be deemed for all purposes of this Act to be the Chairman.
