42. Cases to be investigated by Superintendent. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].
- A Superintendent is expected to take a share in the actual investigation of important cases but should take the investigation out of the hands of his subordinates only in very exceptional circumstances. He shall personally investigate all serious cases in which Europeans are involved or in which racial feelings have been or are likely to be aroused.
