Section 48(1) in The Maharashtra Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2002
(1)The State Government shall prepare a diet scale, to be adhered to by the institutions, for juvenile or children in consultation with nutrition experts so that the diet becomes balanced, nutritious and varied, with a special diet which may be provided on holidays, festivals and to the sick juveniles or children as required.
