Duties of Police towards Panchayat.- Every police officer shall give immediate information to the Gram Panchayat of any offence coming to his knowledge which is triable by a Panchayat, and shall assist all members and servants of the Gram Panchayat and 1* 2[* *] in the exercise of their lawful authority.
