28.07.2021 Order No. This matter is taken up through video conferencing.

02. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite parties to release the differential amount of interest inasmuch as the petitioner is entitled to interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date when the disbursed amount of GPF dues as well as the retirement gratuity actually fell due till the date of payment, within a stipulated time, i.e., on the basis of the ratio decided in the case of Dhruba Charan Panda and others vs. State of Orissa and others, reported in 1999 (II) OLR 433 and also in the case of Gobardhan Naik v. State of Orissa and Ors. (WPC(OAC) No. 2044 of 2005, decided on 22.06.2021, within a stipulated time.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that highlighting the grievances, the petitioner has made representation to opposite party no.2 vide Annexure-8 and the same may be directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time.

Considering the limited grievance of the petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing opposite party no.2 to consider the representation filed by the petitioner vide Annexure-8 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, keeping in view the ratio decided in the case of Dhruba Charan Panda and others vs. State of Orissa and others, reported in 1999 (II) OLR 433 and also in the case of Gobardhan Naik v. State of Orissa and Ors. (WPC(OAC) No. 2044 of 2005, decided on 22.06.2021), within a period of three months from the date of production of authenticated/certified copy of this order.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020 as modified by Court's Notice No. 4798 dated 15th April, 2021.
