Section 16(1) in U.P. Sugarcane (Regulation Supply and Purchase) Act, 1953
(1)The State Government may, for maintaining supplies, by order, regulate-(a)the distribution, sale or purchase of any cane in any cane in any reserved or assigned area; and(b)purchase of cane in any area other than a reserved or assigned area.
