Section 2(xvii) in The Bihar Co-operative Societies Rules, 1959
(xvii)"Election Officer" means an Officer entrusted in these Rules with the responsibilities of conducting election of a Co-operative Society and shall include Alternate Election Officer, Assistant Election Officer and Assistant Alternate Election Officer;
