Section 10(1) in The East Punjab Children Act, 1949
(1)Whoever causes any child, or having the actual charge or control over a child, allows that child to be in any street, premises or place for the purposes of begging or receiving alms or of inducing the giving of alms, shall be punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months or with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees or with both.
