(6)When any temporary vacancy occurs in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor or if the Vice-Chancellor is, by reason of illness, absence or for any other reason, unable to exercise the powers and perform the duties of his office, the Chancellor shall, as soon as possible, in consultation with the Government, make such arrangements for carrying on the functions of the Vice-Chancellor as he deems fit.
