Section 2(r) in The Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University Act, 2004
(r)"Veterinary" means the art and science of Veterinary surgery and medicine and includes;(i)the diagnosis of diseases in, and injuries to, animals;(ii)the giving of advice based upon such diagnosis;(iii)the medical or surgical treatment of animals; and(iv)the measures taken for prevention and control of live stock diseases.
