(2)Any person who, on the appointed day, has in his possession or custody or under his control any books, documents or other papers which have been transferred to and vested in the Government under section 50, shall be liable to account for the said books, documents and the papers to the Government and shall deliver to the Government or to such person as the Government may direct.
