554. Affidavit verifying petition.
- Such petition shall be verified by an affidavit to be made by the petitioner or by one of the petitioners, if more than one, or if the petition is presented by a corporation, by a Director, Secretary or other principal officer thereof:Provided that if the petitioner is by reason of absence or for other good cause unable to verify such petition, the same may be verified by any person duly authorised by him in that behalf or deemed by the Court competent to verify the same. Such affidavit shall be in the prescribed form.
