Section 27(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)The District Magistrate shall send immediately to the Superintendent a copy of any comments, whether favourable or unfavourable, that have been made on the conduct of a police officer (i) in a judgment by a Magistrate, a Judge, or a Court of superior status, or (ii) in a note submitted under regulation 26(b) by a Magistrate trying a case.
