Section 3(1) in The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1978
(1)With effect from such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint in this behalf, there shall be established a Board by the name [Chennai] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the City of Madras (Alteration of Name) Act, 1996 (Tamil Nadu Act 28 of 1996).] Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
