Section 2(j) in Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969
(j)"Teacher" means a person giving instructions on behalf of a University, in the teaching department of a University, constituent or affiliated college, and includes a Principal, Professor, Reader, Lecturer, Demonstrator, Director or Physical Education, Director of the Bureau of Educational and Vocational Guidance and a teacher of Teacher's Training College, and such member of staff of a University Library as the Syndicate of a University may declare to be a teacher ;
