Section 14(1) in The Standards of Weights and Measures (National Standards) Rules, 1988
(1)The work relating to the realisation, establishment, custody, maintenance, determination, reproduction and updating of national standards of weights and measures shall, on the commencement of these rules, be the responsibility of the National Physical Laboratory.
