(1)A person upon whom a notice has been served under Sub-section (1) of Section 50 may within thirty days from the date of the notice appeal to the [Sub-Collector] [Substituted by S.R.O.No. 648/99 vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1183, Dated, 16.8.1999.] whereupon the said officer, may stay the operation of the order till disposal of the appeal and after giving such notice of the appeal to the Grama Panchayat modify, set aside or confirm the order.
