14. Punishment for contravention.
(1)Every Officer acting under or in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or under the rules made there under shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.(2)Whoever being a public servant tampers with record of rights or passes an order which is fraudulent, shall be liable for the penalty of removal or dismissal from service besides criminal proceedings under any other applicable laws.
