Seventeenth Loksabha > Title: Regarding Construction of buildings for various post offices in Attingal Parliamentary Constituency-laid.
ADV. ADOOR PRAKASH (ATTINGAL): I draw the attention of the Government towards the long pending demand of construction of departmental buildings for various Post Offices in my constituency Attingal, Kerala. Even though the Postal Department have own land, construction of building is pending for many Post Offices. The Postal department have 25 cents of land at Pangode and 22 cents of land at Vamanapuram. The Post Offices at Varkala, Vithura, Avanavanchery, Perumkuzhy, Vamanapuram, Pangode and Palayamkunnu are not having own building. The Postal Department have already purchased land at Varkala, Vamanapuram, Vithura, Perumkuzhy and Avanavanchery. Construction of building is still pending and all these Post Offices are functioning in rented buildings. The demand for construction of buildings for these Post Offices is long pending and it was proposed to be completed in the 10th Five Year Plan. I request to kindly consider it and take necessary steps for construction of building for these Post Offices.
