Section 57 in The Haryana Canal and Drainage Act, 1974
57. Power to summon and examine witnesses.
- Any officer empowered under this Act to conduct an inquiry may exercise all such powers connected with the summoning and examining of witness as are conferred on Civil Courts by the Code of Civil Procedure and every such inquiry shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding.
