- If an escape occurs en route, intimation of the same should be given as soon as possible to the nearest authorities and the Superintendent of the Jail from which the prisoner came, with a view to his recapture. If he is not immediately recaptured, his property, warrant and other documents, shall be returned to the jail from which he was despatched.
