Section 10(g) in The Port Of New Mangalore Rules, 1976
(g)(i)If any accident occurs to a vessel while a pilot is on board and if the master of a vessel has any complaint to make regarding the handling of the vessel under the command of the pilot, or the advice given to him by the pilot on duty, he shall report about the accident at once to the Deputy Conservator who shall immediately hold a departmental enquiry.(ii)If the accident occurs while the vessel is leaving the port the master shall send in full report direct to the Deputy Conservator from his next port of call.(iii)Such report shall be accompanied by a signed statement of any witness to the incident in question.
