Section 229(3) in The Coal Mines Regulations, 2011
(3)Drill machine shall be provided with-(a)an efficient head light capable of showing any obstruction in the working place ahead;(b)an efficient portable fire extinguisher so placed as to be within easy reach of operator and also with an automatic type of fire detection and suppression system; and(c)a seat for operator and a canopy over head shall be provided to protect the operator from falling objects.
