Section 21 in Visvesvaraya Technological University Act, 1994
21. The Academic Senate.
- The Academic Senate shall be the Academic Body of the University and shall perform the following functions:-(1)co-ordination of the plans and activities of the divisions of the University;(2)determination and co-ordination of standards of educational programmes in the constituent colleges including instructional facilities and resources;(3)institution evaluation to help the constituent colleges in institution development;(4)any other function that may be assigned by the Executive Council.
