Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter relates to an accident occurred Signature Not Verified by the vehicle, which the petitioner was driving Digitally signed by POOJA SHARMA Date: 2026.02.24 16:55:04 IST Reason: and the sentence awarded is two consecutive terms of six months, with a fine of Rs. 25,000/- 1 SLP (CRL.) DIARY NO. 64226/2025 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand). It was submitted that the Courts have held that the sentence can be reduced by enhancing the fine amount and thus, in the present case also, the same be done.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to implead Parameshappa-husband of the deceased as respondent no.2 and amended cause title be filed within one week.

3. Delay condoned.

4. Issue notice.

5. In view of the petitioner having undergone more than six months of incarceration, whereas, as per the sentence awarded, two terms of six months running consecutively have been awarded, let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the learned trial Court.

6. List on 27.04.2026.

7. After the order was dictated, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he will be depositing the fine of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) before the Trial Court and further undertakes to pay another Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) to the family of the 2 SLP (CRL.) DIARY NO. 64226/2025 victim in lieu of reduction of his period of incarceration. We record the same.
