Section 374 in Bihar Board's Miscellaneous Rules, 1958

374. Proceeds of sales and fines to be credited to Government.

(1)Any surplus coins still left over after distribution in accordance with Rule 372 shall be kept in the Bihar Coin Cabinet for sale. Notices containing particulars thereof, shall be published annually in the Gazette and the Gazette of India, copies of the notices being sent to the Asiatic Society, to the other institutions mentioned and to other registered numismatic societies both in India and abroad. If any coins so kept for sale remains unsold, Government may at the end of every fifty years, pass orders for their return to the Mint for melting.
(2)All fines levied under the Act and all proceeds from the sale of coins shall be credited to the head "Treasure-Trove" subordinate to the main head "Miscellaneous",
(3)The Mint will deduct all costs of refining, etc. incurred by it for any surplus coins that may be received by it for melting and assay and for the issue of an out turn certificate for the value of the metal contained therein in favour of the Local Government before credit is afforded.
