(1)This Act may be called the [Karnataka] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.] Police Act, 1963.(2)It extends to the whole of the [ State of Karnataka] [Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order 1973 w.e.f. 1.11.1973.].(3)It shall come into force on such [ date] [Act came into force w.e.f. 2.4.1965 vide Notification No. HD 21 PEG 65 dt. 1965.] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
