Section 1 in The United Provinces Private Forests Act, 1948
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the United Provinces Private Forests Act, 1948.(2)It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.(3)This section shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of this Act, in whole or in part, shall come into force in such areas and on such dates as the State Government may, by notification specify and for this purpose different dates may be specified for different provisions of this Act and for different areas.
