Section 2(1)(xxvi) in Vinayaka Missions Sikkim University Act, 2008

(xxvi)"teacher" means a Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor/Lecturer or such other person as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conducting research in the University [* * *] [The Words 'or in a constituent college or institution and includes the Principal of a constituent college or institution,' omitted by Act No. 7 of 2017, w.e.f. 22.03.2017.] in conformity with the norms prescribed by the University Grants Commission ;
