Regarding Restoration Of Mplad Fund on 15 September, 2020
Seventeenth Loksabha > Title: Regarding restoration of MPLAD Fund SHRI KALYAN BANERJEE (SREERAMPUR): Sir, I wrote two letters dated 27th March, 2020 and 6th April, 2020 respectively. In both the letters, I sanctioned rupees one crore from MPLADS fund for medical testing, screening and other facilities required to detect and contain COVID -19.
This amount was allocated for 2019-20. Second instalment money has also been sanctioned. The District Magistrate has sent the recommendation. But, unfortunately, till this date, Sir, rupees one crore have not yet been sent by the Central Government. Since COVID -19, six months have passed. But it has not been sent. This is number one.
Secondly, I wish to tell you and I wish to point out that you take our 100 per cent salary. I will not mind. I will not mind and I think no Member will mind. But give us the full MPLAD fund so that we can work for the benefit of the poor people and for the development of the country …(Interruptions)
Sir, hon. Defence Minister is here. He assured us that in case of urgent things, the Ministers will also reply to that. I hope I have raised a very important thing.
